Terry Thies, Director
Terry Thies has been director of Little Theatre of Hazard since 2003. As one of the founders of Summer in the Park, Terry is delighted to be back at it again this year. This year has been even more exciting with all the new faces. When Terry is not acting or directing, you can see her doting on her grandkids and great granddaughters.
O.T. Watts and his daughter Sophie Watts
O.T. is an old musician, writer and president of his own non-profit Breathitt County Arts, Heritage and Tourism, Inc. advocating for artistry and artists of the area.
Sophie is a freshman at PCC, a published author, loves theater, music, writing, drawing, painting, etc. Sophie will be an understudy this summer with LTH helping and learning.
Bobby Duff, Photographer/Videographer
Bobby Duff in his 4th tour of duty with Summer in the Park, Bobby utilizes his love for photography to promote & raise awareness for the things he's most passionate about. A vocal advocate for women's sports, he's donated his time to take photos at Softball & Volleyball games for various Perry Co. schools.
Caitlin Riley, Website Designer/ Graphics/ Painter
Caitlin is a graphic designer who graduated from EKU at the end of 2023 with a B.S. in Art Studio and a Minor in Business Management. She has been a part of Summer in The Park since 2021 and has taught painting classes for the children during the event. She has helped with designing flyers and helping with marketing efforts for the event. She also designed/created the website. She created a peep board in collaboration with Scott Co Middle School kids to paint this board.

Alexandria Abner,Prop Master
Alexandria Abner a.k.a Alex is the mom of Eli Abner, aka wolf, in this year's production. Last year Alex played the part of backstage mom as well as full time costume and prop designer! Her love of all things aesthetic has helped her design & create the props for Summer in the Park for her second year in a row. In her spare time, Alex enjoys playing Animal Crossing, graphic design, and collecting stray cats.
Brandy Richie Costume Designer, Asst Prop Master& Backstage Mom
Brandy Richie has been in the theatre world for around 15 years in roles ranging from her high school theater group to scare actor in haunted houses. However, her real passion has always been costumes & makeup. Brandy is now proud to pass the torch along to her talented daughters, but still stays active behind the scenes in roles such as prop master in Matilda Jr and costume designer in Holka Polka.
Margie Duff, Backstage Mom
Margie Duff takes pride in assisting with Summer in the Park, as she has been behind the scenes since 2019! She may be the biological mother of Mallie & Mabel, but she considers all the cast her children & knows their essential role in each other’s lives. Margie is Perry County’s 2023 “Mother of the Year”! Margie strives for every child to have a connection to the arts & a place to belong!
Victoria Halcomb, Assistant Director
Victoria Halcomb has been involved in theater more than half her life. She started preforming at age 9 in MCTIs production of The Wizard of Oz & has continued her love of theater with Little Theater of Hazard. In 2019, Victoria moved past the stage to direct her first play/musical: Willy Wonka Jr. for Summer in the Park. Whether it’s on stage or behind, Victoria finds her home in the theater.
Shaun Whitaker, Sound & Technical Director
While Shaun has been part of Little Theater of Hazard and Summer in the Park for several years, this is his first year as sound & technical director. Shaun is the proud father of the multi-talented Carlee & Cate, and you may see him all over Southeast Kentucky supporting and transporting them in their many artistic endeavors. Little Theater is proud to have him aboard.
